Sponsor an Etchline Cares Workshop
Thank you for considering a contribution to Etchline Cares. Your support helps bring portable laser engraving into NYC public school classrooms — especially for neurodivergent students — so they can sketch, write, and then gather around and gasp as the laser “zaps” their ideas into real, tangible keepsakes they can hold.
Etchline Cares workshops are designed to build confidence, spark creativity, and honor different ways of thinking and communicating. By sponsoring a workshop, you’re helping students see their own handwriting, drawings, and ideas transformed into something lasting.
Why your contribution matters
Your contribution doesn’t just buy supplies—it unlocks a rare kind of enrichment that almost no NYC public school ever gets to see. Etchline Cares brings a fully enclosed, classroom-safe laser system and a trained laser technician into NYC public school classrooms so students can watch their own handwriting and artwork being engraved in real time.
A fully funded Etchline Cares workshop costs about $1,300, which works out to roughly $40–$45 per student in a typical NYC class of 28–32 kids. That’s similar to what many families already pay for a single art, music, or tutoring session—but here it reaches an entire classroom at once, during the school day, with no extra travel or scheduling burden for parents.
When you contribute, you’re helping move real classrooms off the waitlist so individual kids—especially neurodivergent students and those who are often overlooked—can have that “I made this” moment and bring a lasting keepsake home.
What Your Contribution Makes Possible
Each sponsored workshop covers more than just supplies. It helps create a thoughtful, sensory-learning experience that feels safe, welcoming, and memorable for students and teachers alike.
- Portable, enclosed laser setup: A compact, enclosed laser engraving system that’s safe to have in the classroom environment.
- Filtered air support: Additional air filtration to help keep students’ health and safety first — comfort matters as much as the “wow” moment.
- Materials for students: Engravable pieces such as poem bookmarks, achievement tokens, or personalized water bottles students are proud not to lose.
- Planning with educators: Time to coordinate with teachers or support staff so the projects fit the age group, schedule, and classroom needs.
- Experienced laser technician on site: A trained technician who sets up the equipment, runs the engravings, and helps guide students through the process.
The goal is simple: when a teacher is excited to say “yes” to a workshop, cost shouldn’t be the reason they have to say “no” to letting their students watch the magic happen right before their eyes.
Ways to Support a Workshop
Many supporters come from event, wedding, and golf communities — people who love a great experience and want to help bring that same sense of pride and celebration into NYC public school classrooms. You’re welcome to give in the way that feels right for you, your family, or your team:
- Sponsor a full classroom workshop: Help fund one Etchline Cares session for a NYC public school class — covering equipment, materials, and on-site time so there’s no cost to the teacher.
- Make a one-time contribution: Choose an amount that feels right for you; your gift helps move the next classroom closer to a “yes” for their workshop.
- Support the workshop fund: Larger or ongoing contributions help build the pool that future workshops draw from, including materials, travel, and accessibility needs.
Common contribution levels include $25, $50, $100, $500, or $1,300 to fully sponsor a classroom workshop. You’re always welcome to choose a different amount that fits your situation.

Where teachers and schools allow it, we also invite students to participate in a simple “thank you” photo or brief video shout-out that we email to you after the workshop.
- Featured recognition: Select sponsors may also be highlighted by name or logo on the Etchline Cares page as part of our sponsor spotlight area.

How Sponsorship Works
-
You reach out with your intentions.
Let us know if you’d like to sponsor a full workshop, share one with others, or simply make a one-time contribution in the amount that feels right for you. -
We match your support to a classroom.
We prioritize NYC public school classrooms — especially those serving neurodivergent students — and coordinate with teachers or staff. -
We plan a sensory-learning workshop.
Together with the school, we choose age-appropriate projects and timing so students have enough space to design, revise, and create. -
Students watch their ideas “zap” into keepsakes.
On workshop day, students see their own handwriting, drawings, and words turned into real engraved pieces they can take home and show off. -
We share a simple recap where possible.
When permissions allow, we provide a brief written recap you can share with your team, family, or community — highlighting the impact your sponsorship helped create.
Transparency & Trust
We know that when you choose to support a program like Etchline Cares, you’re placing real trust in where your contribution goes. That’s why we maintain a dedicated page outlining how workshops are structured, how support is used, and how we think about impact over time.
You can read more about our approach — and see how many classrooms are waiting — on the Impact & Transparency page.
Common Questions
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
At this time, contributions to Etchline Cares are not tax-deductible. Etchline Cares is currently a mission-driven initiative within Etchline NYC, not a registered nonprofit or 501(c)(3). Exploring a formal nonprofit path may be part of the future, but for now, contributions are personal or corporate support made because you believe in what the workshops provide for students.
How do you choose which classrooms receive workshops?
We prioritize NYC public school classrooms — especially those that serve neurodivergent students, special education programs, or inclusive learning communities. We also consider factors like teacher interest, school readiness to host a workshop, and the mix of neighborhoods we’ve visited recently so support can reach a variety of communities over time.
Can my company or team sponsor more than one workshop?
Absolutely. We can discuss a series of workshops across multiple classrooms, schools, or dates — or align your sponsorship with a specific theme, awareness month, or internal initiative. The best way to start is by reaching out with your ideas so we can build a plan together.
Can we connect our event to a classroom workshop?
Yes. If you’re hosting an Etchline NYC on-site engraving event and would also like to sponsor an Etchline Cares workshop in honor of your team, community, or brand, mention that in your message on the Request Availability page. We’ll help you explore a pairing that feels meaningful and achievable.
What if I’m not sure how much to give?
That’s completely okay. You can reach out and let us know you’d like to support a workshop, and we’ll share a simple breakdown of how different contribution levels help — from covering materials to fully funding a classroom session.
Thank You for Considering a Contribution
However you choose to support Etchline Cares — by sponsoring a workshop, sharing this page, or simply cheering from the sidelines — we’re deeply grateful. These workshops exist because people like you believe that creativity, inclusion, and “I made this” moments should be within reach for more students.
